Finnaun was inspired by the islands of Clew Bay, this particular piece came about on a February morning at high tide. The air was still, the water on the bay was like glass. I took a photo from the Murrisk side of the bay on my way out to Croagh Patrick. The islands were mirroring the water and the rich gorse reflected its colours towards me, this is an abstract depiction of that dream like moment.
