Plunging into the abyss west of Ireland, Rockall Trough is an abstract exploration of one of the deepest and most dramatic features of the North Atlantic. This vast underwater valley, carved over millions of years, separates the continental shelf from the open ocean. Beneath its depths, ancient sediments, shifting currents, and elusive deep-sea creatures create a world of mystery and movement.

In this piece, fluid layers and bold contrasts capture the immense scale of the trough, where deep indigos and midnight blues meet luminous streaks of bioluminescent energy. Dynamic textures mimic the ever-changing flow of deep ocean currents, while subtle highlights evoke the rare glimpses of life in the darkness.
