If you walk the coast of Clew Bay late in the evening, the colours change every day. The light of the moon reflects across the islands and the water, creating pockets of colour throughout the bay. No matter how many times I experience it, it still paints a different picture.
There is something about this time of day that brings both drama and calm. The birds and wildlife begin to settle, the landscape becomes quieter, and the islands seem to shift in and out of the evening light.
This abstract piece captures that moment. Its deep, rich textures show the islands silhouetted against the evening skyline, while the water reflects all the drama and changing colour of the sky. It is a constantly changing scene and one that continues to inspire my work.
